Medium goldfish bead, originally uploaded by janet_farris.
Here are photos of the beads I have been working on. I plan to show them at the Phoenix Bead Expo. I wanted to share some of the process in their construction and the design decisions that went into making these beads.

Wow – they are stunning. I love the floating effect you have created so well! Stunning! Kylee
Hi, Janet. I hit a wrong key somewhere and my previous comment sailed off into the ethernet in mid-sentence, so I’m re-posting. Hope this isn’t a duplicate.
I love your koi beads. They are so beautifully detailed and ethereal-looking. I have a large tapestry of a koi pond on a wall in my living room, so the subject matter is one for which I have a great fondness and appreciation.
You are such a generous artist to share your techniques so freely! Thank you for that.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again in Phoenix!
Claire
Hi Claire,
Thanks for the compliments. I am having fun experimenting with the fish. See you soon in Phoenix.
I love the way you did these beads. The fish are not only beautiful, they have a depth to them. Almost as though they were swimming inside the bead!
Do you sell these beads, they are gorgeous!! if so what is the cost? I would be interested in 18 of them, if i can afford them. thanks so much, Mary
ps what is the size?
Thanks !
